About
Mira Tassone was born in Portugal and moved to New York in 1980.
​
She earned her Master’s Degree from NYU. Mira has worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Westchester and Rockland Counties for over ten years, working in inpatient, outpatient, and school settings. During her tenure, she provided the following services to both adults and children from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds:

Teacher training in child development, trauma, social-emotional learning, behavioral modification
Mindfulness workshops on stress reduction
Facilitated social skills groups for preschool children
Family counseling
Parent/child psychotherapy
Play therapy
Individual therapy
Group therapy

Mira is trained in Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Emotional Freedom Technique (also known as "EFT" or "tapping"), a mind-body approach. Thus, she brings a holistic perspective.

Mira overcame multiple challenges back and guide others who struggle with their own, and help them live lives of meaning and fulfillment.

In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, gardening, and cooking. She lives with her husband and son in Rockland County, New York.
